About the Role

• Provide best‑in‑class guest service: greet guests, answer questions, offer promotions, recommend items, and express gratitude.
• Support a clean, organized retail environment, ensuring all areas—including restrooms—meet company standards.
• Process purchases and returns accurately via the POS system.
• Handle phone inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Promote Game Stop’s guest‑benefit programs such as title reservations and Pro Rewards.
• Ensure fixtures and equipment are functional and merchandised properly.
• Complete Omni‑Channel orders daily.
• Protect company assets through effective inventory control, loss prevention, and daily bank deposits.
• Perform inventory counts, restock merchandise, and alphabetize items on the sales floor.
• Assist store management in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative duties.
• Balance and reconcile daily transaction totals in the POS system; complete all closeout paperwork accurately.
• Inspect shipments for discrepancies, record findings, and report to management.
• Process defectives, recalls, and stock pulls accurately and promptly.
• Conduct visual inspections of associates’ items during closing or shift end.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates when management is absent.
• Adhere to all Game Stop policies, opening/closing procedures, and the Associate Handbook.
• Monitor associate performance and provide timely feedback.

• Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of retail sales, guest service, or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to work alone, standing and moving throughout the store for up to 10 hours per day.

• Clear verbal and written communication skills (English required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred).
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Meet associate performance expectations: attendance, professional dress, and grooming.

• Basic math and alphabetizing skills.
• Self‑motivation and teamwork.
• Problem‑solving and judgment.
• Follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.
• Deliver bank deposits following safety guidelines.
• Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays (minimum 3 days/week).
• Handle stress and work effectively under pressure.
• Physical capability: bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, lift up to 30 lbs., and stand for 10 hours/day.

Pay $17.63 – $20.38
