SEAFOOD​/CLERK

Position:
SEAFOOD/CLERK at Kroger Mountain View Foods (Spokane, WA).

Prepare and display seafood items for sale in an efficient, sanitary, and artistic manner in accordance with company standards and policies. Perform customer service functions and follow all company policies and procedures. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

• Serve customers at the counter promptly and cheerfully, providing them with high‑quality seafood products.
• Maintain professional, courteous, and calm interactions with all customers and associates.
• Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
• Unload, store, and prepare merchandise, ensuring compliance with Food Safety Policies, Health Department regulations, and company guidelines.
• Monitor product standards: perform temperature checks, evaluate freshness, and ensure safe handling of all items.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean, organized, and well‑stocked.
• Store carts, tools, equipment, and supplies in their designated areas.
• Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils following company and Health Department procedures.
• Maintain proper signage, product rotation, quantity, quality, and space allocation for merchandise.
• Maintain equipment and facilities correctly and safely, adhering to all policies and applicable laws.
• Stay flexible to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Operate the cash register in accordance with company procedures when required.
• Execute the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Ability to read shelf tags, signage, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.

• Experience in grocery retail, customer service, and food preparation.
