Salary Range: $19.12 - $25.32
Starting salary for this position is: $19.12 (Hourly)
Employees hired at the entry step of this range receive salary step advancement after six months and every 12 months thereafter. An employee hired at anything higher than the entry step of the range will have salary step advancement after 12 months and every 12 months thereafter until they reach the top of the salary range. Each salary step advancement will be approximately a 5% increase.
Spokane Falls Community College, part of Spokane Colleges, serves 6,000 students with liberal arts/transfer and professional technical programs across a 12,302 square mile region in Eastern Washington.

About the Retail Clerk 2 - AH&SS Box Office Attendant (Non-permanent classified paid hourly)JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision of the Assistant Dean of Art, Humanities, and Social Sciences, the Retail Clerk 2 (AH&SS Box Office Attendant) greets patrons, performs point of sale and cash handling duties for the Music Auditorium or other Division events at Spokane Falls Community College (SFCC).
This is a non-permanent classified paid hourly position. Not to exceed 18 months.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and assist patrons in a welcoming and professional manner. *
- Sell tickets at the point of sale. *
- Accurately handle cash transactions, including counting change. *
- Accurately handle credit card transactions. *
- Maintain an organized and secure cash box during all sales. *
- Track ticket sales and reconcile cash at the end of each shift. *
- Provide event information and answer patron questions. *
- Coordinate with administrative assistants as needed. *
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff and faculty as needed. *
- Ensure ADA seating and accessibility needs are accommodated, including operation of the Assistive Listening System. *
- Follow all college financial procedures and ticketing policies. *
- Report any discrepancies or issues immediately to the supervisor. *
- Contribute to a positive and efficient patron experience. *
- Model professional decorum and mutual respect in all personal interactions. *
- Comply with district policies, procedures and directives, state and federal regulations, orders and statutes and collective bargaining agreements. *
- Support and advance Spokane Colleges’ strategic plan and perform other duties as assigned. *

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Math ability for accurate cash handling.
- Ability to provide quality and courteous customer service.
- Flexible schedule; primarily evening availability.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- One year of experience in a box office or retail setting handling cash.
- Customer service experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work is performed in an office and auditorium environment with frequent interruptions and background noise.
- Work is sedentary and active.
- Work may require periods of standing and walking.
- Seldom move up to 25 lbs.
- Work directly with students/clients.
