Job OverviewAs a Sales Consultant, you will assist customers in finding vehicles that meet their needs, guide them through the sales process, and ensure all transactions run smoothly.
Essential Responsibilities- Use your knowledge of Car Max inventory to help customers find a vehicle that meets their needs.
- Guide customers through every step of the process—from appraisal and test drives to financing applications.
- Complete all relevant records and documentation to ensure transaction success.
- Sales and customer service experience in retail or a similar arena is preferred.
- Good listening skills and a strong customer focus.
- High level of self‑motivation and the ability to connect with people and build relationships.
New Sales Consultants receive a competitive hourly wage and, after 640 hours of selling, commissions become the primary base of pay.
Position is eligible for commission.
BenefitsPart‑time Associates earn state‑law sick time, vacation ranging from 8 to 40 hours per year based on length of service, and up to 4 hours of Floating Holiday Time each calendar year subject to manager approval. For a full benefits overview, visit the Car Max Benefits website.
