Job SummaryThis position leverages our core values to sell heavy‑duty trucks and related components. The role requires technical, organizational, and customer‑focused skills to influence customers, apply our products/services to their needs, generate revenue, and provide excellent service.
Essential Position Functions and Principal Accountabilities- Sell heavy‑duty trucks and associated components.
- Call on prospective customers and assigned accounts within the assigned territory.
- Maintain contacts with customers, stay current on market and customer trends, and document all activity in the company’s CRM system.
- Identify and profile prospective customers, develop and apply strategies necessary to obtain orders and close potential sales.
- Report on competitive activity.
- Keep informed on new products and general information that will assist in sales efforts.
- Coordinate efforts with outside parts, service, and new and used heavy‑duty truck sales personnel to achieve full market penetration.
- Perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Meeting the requirements listed below is representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

- Possess a valid CDL or the ability to obtain one within 60 days.
- At least 2 years of truck sales or applicable experience.
- Proficiency with computers and telephone systems.
- Strong verbal communication.
- Aggressive, self‑motivated.
- Closing ability, organized, strong time management.
- Medium and heavy truck sales experience preferred.
- Experience in the heavy‑duty truck industry.
- Familiarity with the commercial community.
- Strong customer service and sales skills.
- Commercial driver’s license preferred.
- Minimum high school diploma with appropriate experience is required.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of retail sales experience.
- Preferably some experience with heavy or medium duty trucks.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Commitment to company core values.
- Need to tilt the truck hood and climb into the cab or onto the frame to demonstrate or appraise trucks.
