Full Service Leader Overview
To coach, mentor, and develop Salon Sales Consultants (SBC's). Deliver on divisional goals and objectives. Contribute to achieving day‑to‑day objectives.
Primary Duties- 30% Establish sales and promotion goals for the Distributor Sales Consultants and communicate those goals to SBC's. Plan and conduct sales meetings, including logistics, participants, presenters, and content. Identify key accounts and develop them. Maintain relationships with manufacturers. Schedule manufacturer reps, technicians, educators for meetings and education programs.
- 30% Provide leadership, direction and coaching to SBC's in executing responsibilities including new business development, sales skills, increased sales, client support. Travel 3–4 days/week with SBC's to assess relationships and selling skills, providing feedback. Communicate oversight to ensure regular client contact.
- 20% Visit or communicate by phone with customers to gauge service level and identify issues needing Sales Manager involvement. Ensure education events achieve maximum participation through ticket sales and promotion. Schedule manufacturer education events and support for salons and SBC's.
- 10% Maintain regular, prompt communication with supervisors and the Company through meetings, calls, emails and requests. Alert important information to the business.
- 10% Monitor and analyze employee performance, ensure desired results per policies. Conduct performance appraisals, reinforce good performance, correct unsatisfactory performance, develop employees. Resolve conflicts, manage territories, reassign accounts, re‑shape coverage, produce periodic sales and status reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in business preferred.
- One year of experience supervising sales or operations employees.
- Four years direct sales experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem‑solving skills; strong written and oral communication.
- Ability to operate effectively without close supervision.
- Consultative selling and negotiating skills.
- Ability to travel, overnights, and weekends required.
- Reliable means of transportation sufficient to visit client locations and carry large quantities of product.
- Provide personal vehicle liability coverage sufficient to meet corporate minimum requirements.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Team player, positive attitude.
Physical Requirements
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts typical of offices, meeting rooms, retail stores, and client residences or commercial vehicles. Employees must follow safe work practices, avoid trips and falls, observe fire regulations and traffic signals. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. The job is sedentary; may involve walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, using a keyboard, driving an automobile.
No special physical demands required.
Salary: $120,000–$130,000.
