Salary Range: $5,011 - $6,107 per month

About Us: Spokane Colleges is comprised of two accredited colleges, Spokane Community College (SCC) and Spokane Falls Community College (SFCC), serving Spokane, Stevens, Whitman, Ferry, and Pend Oreille Counties, as well as portions of Lincoln County. Both colleges are accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities and governed by the Washington State Board of Community and Technical Colleges.

JOB SUMMARY

Our HVAC Technician performs skilled work in the inspection, testing, servicing, and maintenance of HVAC systems and related equipment at Spokane Colleges facilities. The Technician services classrooms, labs, auditoriums, offices, and more, serving students, staff, and faculty at both SCC and SFCC.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Evaluate heating and cooling problems, make appropriate diagnosis and make repairs to faulty HVAC equipment and systems and controls.
  • Install new control components including valves, actuators, and sensors, and document HVAC control modifications at completion of projects. May need to coordinate with administrators, contractors, and other trades to implement projects.
  • Develop cost estimates for repairs and upgrades; purchase supplies and equipment for HVAC projects; assist in specifying HVAC equipment and controls.
  • Maintain Spokane Colleges building HVAC control programs and systems. Make changes to control programs to facilitate building changes and variations in program needs.
  • Read and evaluate building plans and specifications.
  • Model professional decorum and mutual respect in all personal interactions.
  • Comply with district policies, procedures and directives, state and federal regulations, orders and statutes, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Support and advance the Spokane Colleges strategic plan, and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Assist other trades in completion of maintenance and upgrade projects.
