Job Summary
As an HVAC Maintenance Technician at Cline’s Heating and Air, you’ll own our preventive‑care program—performing scheduled maintenance visits at both commercial and residential sites to keep systems running at peak efficiency. You’ll replace belts and filters, clean coils, inspect safety controls, test refrigerant levels, and tighten electrical connections, then document your findings and recommend repairs or replacements based on equipment condition and age.
You’ll collaborate closely with our service and installation teams—sharing insights, troubleshooting complex issues, and helping deliver seamless service to every customer. - Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on commercial and residential HVAC systems, including replacing belts and filters, cleaning coils, and inspecting safety controls.
- Measure system performance (airflow, temperature differentials, refrigerant pressures) and verify proper operation.
- Inspect electrical connections, lubricate moving parts, and tighten hardware to prevent breakdowns.
- Test and adjust thermostats, controls, and sensors for optimal comfort and efficiency.
- Check refrigerant levels, recover and recharge per EPA guidelines, and diagnose leaks.
- Document all findings and maintenance actions in Service Titan, including photos and detailed notes.
- Recommend repairs, upgrades, or full‑system replacements based on equipment condition, age, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with service and installation technicians to troubleshoot complex issues and coordinate follow‑up work.
- Communicate clearly with customers—explain maintenance findings, make budget‑sensitive suggestions, and answer questions.
- Maintain stock of common parts and supplies in your service vehicle to minimize return trips.
- Follow all safety protocols, manufacturer guidelines, and local code requirements on every visit.
- Respond promptly to emergency service calls when needed and prioritize customer comfort and satisfaction.
- Work closely with Comfort Advisors to help customers make informed decisions.
- Experienced: 1+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
- Licensed or Trainee: WA 06A or 07 trainee card.
- EPA Certification.
