HVAC Commercial Technician – Cline's Heating and Air

Base pay range: $75,000 – $200,000 per year.

Job Summary

We’re seeking an experienced commercial technician to join our expert team. The role focuses on installing, commissioning, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC systems, building strong customer relationships, and identifying solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform initial start‑up and commissioning of commercial HVAC equipment and control systems.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide variety of commercial HVAC systems.
  • Repair and fine‑tune building control systems to maximize energy efficiency, usability, and occupant comfort.
  • Execute routine preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections on all HVAC equipment.
  • Install, replace, or repair HVAC components and calibrate thermostatic and programmable controls.
  • Inspect and maintain commercial refrigeration equipment with EPA‑compliant refrigerant handling.
  • Repair, replace, or install ductwork, piping, and other supporting system components.
  • Partner with project teams on large commercial installs while owning smaller service calls independently.
  • Build trust and rapport with facility managers and building occupants through clear communication.
  • Diagnose complex issues, propose creative solutions, and consistently go the extra mile for customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Comfort Advisors to size equipment and support new‑equipment sales.
  • Mentor and train apprentice technicians, elevating the team’s skill set.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
  • WA 06A or 07 license preferred.
  • EPA certification.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer focus.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Detail orientation and preventive mindset.
  • Comfortable with tablets, digital gauges, and Service Titan.
  • Team player who holds the team accountable to deliver on promises.
