Overview
Maintenance technician position will be responsible for performing repairs and tasks including routine and emergency repairs, preventative maintenance, and upkeep on residential, self-storage or commercial properties under the management of a property management company, including tasks like plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs, while ensuring the overall functionality and aesthetic appeal of the property by responding to resident requests and completing assigned work orders in a timely manner.
Keyresponsibilities
- Maintenance and Repairs: Diagnosing and fixing issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, appliances, locks, doors, windows, and other building components.
- Preventative maintenance: Completing preventative maintenance tasks like filter changes, lubrication, and equipment testing
- Emergency response: Responding to emergency maintenance calls after hours and on weekends and holidays
- Resident Service: Addressing tenant service requests in a timely manner
- Communication: Communicating effectively with residents and maintaining positive customer service interactions
- Project Management: Ordering necessary parts and supplies for repairs;
Maintaining accurate records of work orders, repairs completed, and maintenance schedules - Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and procedures when performing repairs;
Ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations

Skills:
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, carpentry, and general handyman skills - Problem-solving abilities: Ability to diagnose issues and identify solutions to repair problems effectively
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects up to 100lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
- Communication
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication to interact with residents and property managers - Customer Service Focus: Commitment to providing excellent customer service to residents
- Valid Driver's License: Clean driving record
Compensation: DOE starting $24.00

EducationEducation: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
ExperienceExperience: Multi-unit property maintenance preferred
Attendance/ScheduleAttendance/
Schedule:
Regular work schedule Monday through Friday with work hours from 7:30am to 4pm. The maintenance tech must be punctual and accountable.
