Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dedicated team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy machinery and truck fleet used in our recycling process. This is a critical role that ensures our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in heavy equipment such as forklifts, excavator, and loaders.
- Maintain and repair truck fleet
- Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure equipment longevity and safety.
- Collaborate with the operations team to schedule preventive maintenance works without interrupting production.
- Keep detailed records of equipment maintenance and repair work.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry standards and techniques for maintenance and repair.
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or in a relevant field.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Certification from a recognized institution is a plus.
- Certified in DOT inspections.
- CDL is a plus
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Equipment downtime reduction by 15% within the first year.
- Completion of planned maintenance tasks within scheduled time frames.
- Zero accidents related to mechanical failures.
