WFS SSVF Housing Specialist

Full‑time, hourly position; closing date: 01/25/2026.
Job SummaryProvide supportive services to Veterans and their families in the Supportive Services to Veterans Families (SSVF) grant‑funded program. Deliver housing services to veterans, execute Individual Housing Plans, and enhance housing security through direct and indirect service provision with Goodwill and partner agencies.
Key Responsibilities- Assist participants in achieving and maintaining housing stability.
- Document housing requirements and identify household barriers to housing options.
- Coordinate effective housing searches, locate and screen landlords, and perform inspections.
- Provide supportive services needed for stable housing, complying with state and federal fair housing laws.
- Use informal community housing and make referrals as necessary.
- Participate in meetings, staffing, and related activities to review and improve Individual Housing Plans.
- Collaborate with Department of Veterans Affairs and the SSVF program guide under the direction of the Goodwill Program Manager.
- Assist with development and implementation of programs and services.
- Screen referrals for program eligibility.
- Maintain good working relationships with participants, referral agencies, landlords, and team members.
- Follow up on participant progress and provide encouragement as needed.
- Ensure accurate, compliant paperwork and documentation, including case notes.
- Enter required data into the database accurately and on time.
- Attend meetings, conferences, training, and workshops as required.
- Provide services in accordance with Goodwill policies, CARF standards, and safety principles; assist in developing natural supports.
- Facilitate Person‑Centered Planning to set housing goals, recommend services, and oversee program outcomes.
- Model appropriate work behaviors and interpersonal skills.
- Inform the broader community about Goodwill services and available opportunities.
- Work at multiple locations with multiple caseloads.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and proof of personal auto insurance.
- Pass background check and driver record check.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Wage: $25.00 per hour. Employment benefits include health, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off as outlined in the Goodwill benefits package.
