Schedule:
4:00 am start time until all work is finished (5/8s). Pay: $27.28/HR.
In this role, you will operate a commercial motor vehicle and play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of our beverages to customers.
Responsibilities- Safely operate and maneuver commercial delivery vehicles to transport beverages to designated retail locations, following predetermined routes and schedules and adapting to traffic and weather conditions.
- Safely load and unload beverage products using proper handling techniques to prevent damage or breakage and maintain back‑room storage as requested.
- Conduct thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the vehicle to identify and report any maintenance or safety issues.
- Use electronic devices or paper documentation to confirm deliveries, track inventory, and maintain accurate records, collaborating with the logistics team for accurate inventory counts.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle, both internally and externally.
- Interact professionally with store personnel and establish positive relationships with store managers and staff.
- Maintain a valid CDL‑A license and complete all assigned training.
- Attend meetings as assigned and assist with special projects and events.
- High School Diploma (or GED) or equivalent degree/certificate.
- CDL‑A license required; interstate license required.
- Preferred ability to drive a manual transmission.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and meet Swire’s vehicle policy driving record requirements.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as directed by the business and adapt to changing schedules and routes.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and physically lift and move heavy beverage cases repeatedly throughout the day.
- Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with customers, clients, and team members.
Base pay rate is $27.28 to $29.51. Pay offered will depend on candidate’s geographic location and prior relevant experience, knowledge, skills, & abilities. Employees and families are offered medical, dental, vision; union pension with employer contributions; sick pay awarded at 1 hour per 40 hours work, annually 7 paid holidays plus up to 2 floating holidays; vacation of 40 hours available next calendar year;
eligible for paid bereavement and jury duty.
