Trego-Dugan Aviation Inc Ground Handling Position
Pay range: $18.00/hr – $18.00/hr (based on skills and experience).
Location:
Spokane International Airport (GEG), Spokane, WA.
Shift schedule:
Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday. Flexible nights, weekends, holidays. Hours vary with flight schedules and may change seasonally.
General Purpose Of Job: Provide total customer service to passengers, handle inquiries, complete required transactions, and support ramp, aircraft cleaning, operations, and commissary duties as needed.
- Process customer tickets, check baggage, monitor carry‑on baggage, assign seats.
- Provide information on arrival/departure times, boarding procedures, carry‑on regulations, and seating arrangements.
- Handle denied boarding situations, solicit volunteers, accommodate customers, and provide hotel, meal, and taxi vouchers when appropriate.
- Ensure FAA, airline, and airport regulations are followed.
- Enforce safety/security measures and protect sensitive zones.
- Assist customers with special needs and those requiring boarding assistance.
- Complete ad hoc assignments requested by the lead or supervisor.
- Prepare sales reports.
Qualifications:
- People‑oriented, highly motivated, positive and friendly attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to read and write English; bilingual skills a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
- Must be available for varied hours, including swing and graveyard shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Well‑groomed and physically fit to carry a 70‑pound suitcase up to 18 inches and across 25 feet.
- Pass a ten‑year background check and pre‑employment drug test.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. (Immigration Act of 1986).
- Ready to attend required training.
Physical Demands: Must be able to carry a 70‑pound suitcase from the floor to 18 inches and carry it in front of you with both hands for up to 25 feet; sufficient dexterity for repetitive tasks, bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting; sustained positions for extended time; adequate vision and safety ability.
Ramp Service AgentGeneral Purpose Of Job: Handle customer luggage, load/unload baggage, marshal and push back aircraft, operate ground service equipment (GSE), meet arriving flights and service departing flights, assist customers with special needs, assist customer service agents, and perform other assigned duties.
- Perform ramp, commissary, and aircraft cleaning activities as needed.
- Move luggage and co‑mail of various weights and dimensions to and from the aircraft and airport luggage receiving area.
- Load and unload baggage, luggage, and co‑mail.
- Operate ground equipment, including tugs and belt loaders.
- Marshal aircraft to and from gates.
- Handle baggage requiring special care.
- Service aircraft lavatories.
- Perform aircraft interior cleaning.
- Conduct aircraft and commissary security searches.
- Ensure ramp areas are safe, free of FOD, and that ground equipment is properly maintained.
- Follow safety regulations and wear adequate safety items.
- Communicate using a two‑way radio.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Read and write English.
