Production Drafter

Location: Spring Hill, FL (On-site)

Reports to: Senior Designer or Production Manager

At HDS, drafting isn’t a back-office function—it’s the production floor. You’ll be responsible for turning project inputs into clear, code-ready plans that our clients and building departments can move forward with.

We work fast, with high expectations. This role is for someone who understands how drafting fits into the bigger picture: timelines, permitting, and real-world construction.

• Draft Construction Documents
• Produce floor plans, elevations, sections, and site plans based on design notes, sketches, and reference materials.
• Use AutoCAD (or Revit where needed) to build accurate, clean files ready for permitting.
• Handle Revisions + Redlines
• Update plans quickly and accurately based on internal and external feedback.
• Track changes to ensure clean version control and proper documentation.
• Ensure every plan meets local code requirements, HDS standards, and client scope.
• Coordinate with designers and engineers to catch issues early and streamline approvals.
• Organize and Manage Files
• Maintain file naming standards, drawing templates, and block libraries.
• Keep everything structured, documented, and easy to find.
