About Us: We are the not-for-profit organisation appointed to manage and grow QLD’s Containers for Change refund scheme. As our Asset Manager, you’ll drive operational efficiency and support strategic growth across COEX’s asset portfolio. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll oversee deployment, maintenance, and optimisation of assets, ensuring they are safe, effective, and aligned with COEX’s priorities. This includes leading the implementation of the schemes Asset Ownership approach for new container collections infrastructure and contributing to the rollout of logistics equipment, compaction, and industrial design initiatives.
In the role you will:
- Develop a standardised, modular fleet of collection infrastructure to improve container collections, community impact and efficiency
- Manage asset lifecycle including deployment, redeployment, and decommissioning
- Establish through procurement processes and contract management, preventative maintenance programs, and timely repairs
- Maintain centralised asset registers and enforce compliance with SOPs
- Provide data-driven insights to inform asset planning and continuous improvement
- Act as the central point of contact for all asset-related matters across the scheme

- 5+ years’ experience in similar operational roles
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across product, operations, and finance
- Experience in recycling, environmental, logistics, or beverage industries preferred
- Technical expertise in asset lifecycle management and risk compliance
- Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
- Flexibility to travel interstate and hold a current QLD driver’s licence
- Eligibility for a Blue Card and ability to maintain a satisfactory criminal history check
