They are expanding their machining team and need a CNC Machinist, Programming and Setup Lead who can take a part from print to proof on first pass.
You will own full-cycle programming, set-up, and operation for Haas mills using Feature
CAM, delivering micron-level parts that power life-changing technologies.
- Generate Feature
CAM programs and optimize tool paths for Haas 3‑axis vertical machining centers, reducing cycle times while holding sub‑0.001" tolerances. - Select fixtures, custom tooling, and cutting parameters; perform first‑article inspections; and shepherd jobs through production with minimal supervision.
- Interpret complex drawings and GD&T call‑outs, calculating critical dimensions right at the machine.
- Inspect features with micrometers, height gages, and CMMs; document results and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs to keep equipment running at peak capability.
- Work closely with engineering and quality on new‑product introductions, custom tooling concepts, and process improvements.
- 3+ years programming, setting up, and operating Haas vertical mills with Feature
CAM (or similar CAM) experience. - Demonstrated success machining ultra‑tight‑tolerance parts in medical‑device, aerospace, or similar environments.
- Proficient in reading blueprints/GD&T and using precision metrology tools.
- Trade‑school certificate or equivalent hands‑on experience; competence with general tool‑room equipment.
- Continuous‑improvement mindset and ability to thrive in a fast‑moving, vertically integrated shop.
- Target salary range $50,000 – $70,000 per year (DOE) with flexibility for exceptional talent plus full benefits.
