Base pay range$65,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr
Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg for a top Healthcare client. This core position is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers and the broader care team. The RN will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, acting as a vital patient advocate to ensure exceptional patient experiences and positive clinical outcomes.
Job Responsibilities- Assess the patient's condition upon admission and throughout each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status
- Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as directed by the medical provider(s), ensuring timely execution and proper documentation
- Administer prescribed medications safely, monitor the patient for therapeutic and unintended responses, and take appropriate action as necessary
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's condition, treatment plan, and follow-up measures, translating complex medical terminology clearly
- Act as a dedicated advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, consistently embodying the organization's vision and mission for outstanding care
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and proactively anticipating patient needs to ensure comfort and support
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all care administration and patient information in the electronic medical record
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) is required
- Relevant clinical experience considered, including candidates from Long-Term Acute Care (LTACH), Home Health, and Rehabilitation settings
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the relevant state is required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment start date
- Demonstrated proficiency in the nursing care model of "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage"
- Strong communication and patient advocacy skills
