We're seeking an Excavator Operator with gravity sewer experience in Spring Hill, FL
! The Excavator Operator uses heavy equipment to install underground utilities to depths of greater than 20 feet.
We are currently offering a limited‑time sign‑on bonus of $4,000 for new hires with a valid CDL license
. New employees who meet the criteria will be eligible for the full payout.
The starting pay is $22.00–$30.00 per hour depending on experience. We offer 100% paid on‑the‑job training!

- Perform thorough check‑ups and safety sweeps of equipment, notifying the supervisor of any concerns.
- Set up different trench shoring systems, adding expertise to every project.
- Determine the best approach for each project, handling sewer systems, storm drains, water mains, or force mains.
- Follow the lead of your Foreman and Superintendent, using the assigned equipment efficiently.
- Maintain clear communication with crew and supervisors.
- Operate excavator equipment prioritizing safety and effectiveness.
- Monitor every step of the operation to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Be ready for any additional tasks – versatility is key.
- Valid driver’s license required with a clean motor vehicle report.
- Class A or B CDL, aligned with Insituform’s standards (Hazmat endorsement preferred).
- Proven experience as a Heavy Machine Operator in the utility construction and gravity sewer industry.
- Able to operate an excavator/tracked hoe.
- Proficiency in pipe installation techniques, including bedding and back filling.
- Knowledge of construction plans, blueprints, and underground utility installation procedures.
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and at different job sites.
- Able to travel within the state of Florida when needed (lodging & per diem provided).
