The Panel Shop Technician is responsible for physically assembling custom electronic control panels designed by Perimeter Security Partners Project Engineers. The role supports warehouse operations by receiving and preparing shipments, maintaining stock of control panel components, and assisting Inventory and Purchasing Manager with fleet tracking.
Responsibilities- Install electronic components on steel back planes, wire components within a panel, and install back planes within steel enclosures.
- Assemble push button operator panels, prepare battery backup systems, and prepare completed panels for QC inspection and shipment.
- Manage storage of all materials associated with work, receive incoming shipments of materials and equipment, and prepare material shipments for pickup.
- Assist with the physical count of inventory, track outgoing materials, and manage inventory tracking in the absence of Inventory and Purchasing Manager.
- Track inventory of electrical components, wire, and other consumables.
- Wire panels according to drawings and specifications, and update panel drawings with any changes made during assembly.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments and prepare outgoing shipments for pickup.
- Ensure all parts and materials consumed, shipped, or picked up from inventory are recorded.
- High School Diploma is required.
- Able to read and comply with panel drawings.
- Prior experience with panel building preferred.
- Prior experience with the use of hand tools in a production environment preferred.
- Prior experience working under a safety plan or OSHA requirements is preferred.
- Must have good personal habits, be technically conscientious, can stay on task and complete work on schedule, and can work independently as well as on a team.
- 3 years of experience in a professional work environment is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Must be able to complete standard pre-hire checks including background, drug screen, and references.

- Full Time / Hourly Pay Commensurate with Experience ($22 - $26 per hour).
