As a Landscape Crew Leader, you will ensure technicians complete tasks effectively and efficiently by maintaining detailed daily customer job records, including labor hours, equipment, and materials used on each work ticket. The Landscape Crew Leader plays a critical role in delivering high-quality landscaping services and leading a productive team.
Essential Duties Operational Management- Ensure tools and equipment are loaded on trucks prior to departure to the job site
- Manage loading/unloading of trucks and trailers in the morning and evening
- Supervise technicians onsite and delegate job tasks to ensure safety, quality, and productivity
- Oversee all work tickets and ensure completion according to schedule
- Inspect completed work tickets for quality to avoid return visits or re-work
- Ensure all work activities comply with safety standards and PPE requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop/yard areas
- Submit accurate work order documents daily to operations leadership
- Read and interpret blueprints and structural drawings to delegate work activities
- Maintain a clean and safe work site, including proper care of company equipment
- Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
- Communicate with operations leadership regarding crew performance and feedback
- Oversee employee training and development
- Minimum of 2–3 years of landscape industry experience required
- Minimum of 1+ years of leadership experience preferred
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks
- Knowledge of all phases of landscaping projects
- Ability to lead, develop, and mentor crew members
- Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail in all responsibilities and duties

- Extended work hours during peak seasons
- Requires substantial physical activity performing strenuous tasks; regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions (extreme heat/cold), loud noise, allergens, dust, pollen, insects, and other natural hazards; continuous exposure to moving mechanical parts and sharp objects
