As a Mulch Technician I, you are an entry-level Mulch Technician responsible for performing general mulch installation and site preparation on residential and commercial properties. You will work under the supervision of a Mulch Crew Leader to complete daily mulch tasks that enhance the health and appearance of client landscapes. • Foundational Role:
  Start your career as a Mulch Technician with hands-on training and development.
• Daily Task Variety:
  Perform mulch installation, site cleanup, and equipment handling.
• Team-Based Execution:
  Work closely with other Mulch Technicians and Crew Leaders to complete jobs efficiently and safely.

• Mulch Installation & Site Prep:
  Assist with mulch delivery, placement, and spreading across designated areas. Maintain clean and organized job sites.
• Equipment Operation:
  Safely operate hand tools and mulch-related equipment such as rakes, shovels, and blowers. Support loading/unloading mulch materials.
• Safety Compliance:
  Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE. Report hazards and participate in safety meetings.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience:
  
  No prior mulch or landscaping experience required—training provided. Outdoor labor experience a plus.
• Skills:
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
  • Dependable and team-oriented.
  • Physical stamina for mulch installation tasks.

• Knowledge of mulch materials and installation techniques.
• Reliability and adherence to safety protocols.

• Frequent standing, bending, lifting mulch materials up to 50 lbs.
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Travel to job sites, including overnight assignments.
