Job DescriptionSherpa 6, Inc has an exciting opportunity for a Network Integrator for a new DOD effort. As a Network Integrator, this person will be responsible for working closely with the customer, vendors and fellow Sherpas to meet program requirements. Overall, this person will provide expertise during all phases of a given project. Assist with all aspects of the program, including site surveys, NMIBs (New Material In‑Brief), IPRs (In‑Progress Review), and installation of HW (Hardware) or SW (Software), IA (Information Assurance), and FOC (Full Operational Capability) activities.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive network integration support to an integrated tactical network.
- You will facilitate the testing and integration of the cutting‑edge technologies fielded to the US Army Warfighter. Working hand in hand with various technology innovation cells around the country, you will ensure the networks are compatible and optimized.
- Assists the Network Lead on planning support and integration ITN mission command, legacy, tactical radio, OTH and cloud systems.
- Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
- Administer Linux and other server systems.
- Devises plans and drives execution of each phase of the contract objectives and projects.
- Identifies network improvements and innovations with emphasis on configuration management down to the Configuration Item (CI) levels.
- Performs quality control checks and configuration audits ensuring the effectiveness and reliability of the communication systems, tools, and products.
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate system capabilities and functionality to individuals not familiar with the topic.
- Evaluates the engineering costs to identify efficiencies and improved ways of delivering technical service to the customer.
- This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively brief senior level government stakeholders.
- Plan and conduct analysis/research, design/development, and other assignments in conformance with design, engineering, and customer/program specifications.
- The successful candidate will serve as a key component to a technical management team consisting of uniformed, government and other contractor personnel.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 10 years experience
- CompTIA certifications: A+, Network+ and Security+
- Military experience with tactical networks
- Ability to configure, support, and troubleshoot computers, networks, and servers (DNS / DHCP / Web / NTP)
- Experience with systems integration in a cloud environment (i.e. Azure, AWS)
- Excellent problem‑solving skills in resolving issues with complex systems
- Superior communications and written skills
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- Microsoft certifications: MCSA and MCSE
- CISCO certifications
