HPE Networking is seeking a hands‑on strategy leader to help shape the direction of the business and drive execution of its highest‑priority initiatives. Reporting to the VP of Strategy for our networking business, the Director, Strategy & Execution will help define strategic priorities, evaluate growth opportunities, inform investment decisions, lead high‑impact initiatives, and drive execution against key business objectives. The successful candidate will be a trusted thought partner to senior leaders, combining rigorous problem solving, fact‑based analysis, sound business judgment, and a strong focus on outcomes.

The ideal candidate brings the structured thinking of top‑tier strategy consulting, a strong bias for action, and a track record of translating strategy into measurable business results.

This position can be located in Houston, TX or San Jose, CA.

• Shape Business Strategy: assess growth opportunities, market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging industry shifts; develop fact‑based recommendations to inform business, portfolio, investment, and partnership decisions; partner with senior leaders to define strategic priorities and long‑term business direction; help address the most critical business questions facing HPE Networking.
• Lead High‑Impact Strategic Initiatives: lead the company's highest‑priority strategic projects from problem definition through recommendation, decision, execution, and impact; structure and solve complex business problems requiring cross‑functional leadership and executive alignment; develop executive‑level analysis, recommendations, and presentations for senior leadership; serve as an internal advisor on critical business challenges and opportunities.
• Drive Strategic Execution: translate strategic priorities into clear action plans and measurable outcomes; align stakeholders and functions to accelerate execution; identify risks, barriers, and interdependencies that may affect strategic objectives; maintain momentum and ensure initiatives deliver intended business results.
• Executive Partnership: serve as a trusted thought partner to the VP, Strategy & Business Development; support executive planning, strategic reviews, leadership offsites, and other high‑priority business forums; frame complex business issues, challenge assumptions, and develop actionable recommendations; build alignment and support decision‑making across the Networking leadership team.
• Build Strategic Insight: develop a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, competitive positioning, and industry developments; apply a fact‑based approach to strategic decision‑making; generate insights that shape strategic choices and improve business performance.
