Teacher, Math – Spring ISD
Primary
Purpose:
The Middle School Teacher is responsible for implementing the District’s instructional program and educational philosophy in the subject area or grade level designated in accordance with District goals, policies and procedures, and for fostering integrity, clear communication, and continuous improvement.

Teacher Salary Scale
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the assigned subject and level
- At least one year of student teaching or approved internship experience
- Strong knowledge of assigned subjects
- Understanding of curriculum and instruction content
- Ability to instruct students and manage classroom behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Teach according to staff assignment
- Display effective teaching practices
- Develop lesson plans with immediate and long‑range goals
- Use appropriate materials and activities to present subject matter clearly
- Coordinate and plan with team members and librarian for effective student learning experiences
- Create and maintain a conducive learning environment and manage classroom behavior
- Assist in placing students in the most effective educational setting with counselors, administrators, parents, and other staff
- Implement school safety and emergency procedures; conduct drills
- Participate in special activities and programs for students and parents
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and program information
- Maintain accurate student evaluation, attendance, and resource records per district and state regulations
- Adhere to the Texas Education Code of Ethics and the District’s philosophy
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requires frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and moving small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom or adaptive equipment; must maintain emotional control under stress.
