Sr. Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Monday-Wednesday and Friday (7:30am-5:00pm), with one weekend

Job Summary

This position performs nuclear medicine exams to provide images of organs, evaluate body functions, and analyze biological specimens to aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The senior technologist serves as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to staff and assists management with supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology.
  • Certificate in Basic or Advanced Life Support and current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT).
  • Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT-N) or Certified by the NMTCB.
  • Registered CT Technologist (ARRT-CT) if performing diagnostic CT.
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
  • Four (4) years of prior experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others to perform job functions.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Performs nuclear medicine exams on patients: prepares patients, explains procedures, administers radioactive isotopes, obtains and interprets images, and prepares data for interpretation.
  • Enters and monitors patient data.
  • Performs quality assurance on imaging equipment, and assists with ACR accreditation processes.
  • Identifies and reports accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to management.
  • Takes emergency calls within the department.

    Ensures safe care to patients, staff, and visitors while adhering to policies, procedures, standards, and budgetary specifications.
  • Promotes professional growth by meeting mandatory and continuing education requirements, supporting department goals.
  • Demonstrates commitment to community care through compassionate, personalized experiences.
  • Other duties as assigned.
