1st Shift Part‑Time Staff Pharmacist (Hourly), Central Fill – Health and Wellness Non‑Store Operations

Position Summary:

Join Walmart’s Spring, Texas Central Fill Pharmacy Team as a 1st shift Staff Pharmacist and play a crucial role in optimizing backend operations. This unique opportunity leverages your skills in a highly automated environment, ensuring efficient prescription processing and enabling retail pharmacies to focus on patient care.

About Central Fill Pharmacy Team:
The team is at the forefront of automation and efficiency, processing prescriptions for multiple retail locations and streamlining backend operations so that retail pharmacies can dedicate more time to patient care.

Shift: 1st shift, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Sunday‑Saturday availability)

What You'll Do
  • Provide direction and guidance to pharmacy associates, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain and track medication inventory, ensuring proper stock rotation and shrinkage control.
  • Perform visual verification of prescriptions for clinical and legal accuracy.
  • Adapt to changing production demands while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Obtain and renew necessary pharmacist permits, registrations, licenses, and training.
What You’ll Bring
  • Valid pharmacist license in the state of employment and ability to obtain multiple state permits/registrations.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical laws and regulations.
  • Experience in inventory management and prescription verification.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, automated environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharm

    D, or equivalent Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency (FPGE) from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP).
  • Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in state of practice.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using and maintaining automated medication counting machines.
  • Prior experience as a licensed pharmacist in a hospital or retail environment.
Benefits & Compensation

Hourly pay range: $40.00 – $72.00 per hour, plus performance‑based bonuses. Benefits include medical, vision, and dental coverage; 401(k) with company match; paid time off (PTO), parental leave, disability coverage, and Walmart‑paid education benefit programs.
