Our state‑of‑the‑art Circularity Center, currently under construction in Houston, TX, will be the first large‑scale facility in the United States, designed to process a diverse range of post‑consumer, commercial, and industrial plastic waste.
This innovative center will have the capacity to produce 300 million pounds of custom‑formulated feedstock per year and convert it into ISCC‑PLUS‑certified feedstock suitable for mechanical and advanced recycling applications. The Cyclyx Technology Infrastructure Manager will lead and oversee the team responsible for designing, deploying, maintaining, and optimizing the organization's server and network infrastructure across both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) domains. This strategic leadership role requires deep technical expertise to guide infrastructure engineers, establish technical direction, and ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of critical systems. During the initial team build‑out phase, this position demands a unique balance of strategic planning with hands‑on technical execution to establish foundational systems and lead by example.
The ideal candidate brings proven leadership experience managing infrastructure within manufacturing or heavy industry environments, particularly involving IT/OT convergence and enterprise systems.
Strategic Leadership & Technical Execution
- Develop and own the infrastructure roadmap while actively participating in hands‑on implementation
- Lead planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure projects aligned with organizational goals and future growth
- Establish and enforce technology standards through demonstrated technical excellence and direct contribution
- Proactively identify, evaluate, and recommend technology solutions and emerging trends that enhance infrastructure capabilities
- Drive automation initiatives and process improvements across IT operations through hands‑on development
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of infrastructure engineers, fostering technical growth and career progression
- Provide technical guidance and lead by example in complex troubleshooting scenarios
- Serve as the ultimate technical escalation point for all team members
- Allocate resources effectively and manage budgets and vendor relationships while maintaining technical engagement
- Establish team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and actively contribute to achieving operational targets
Technical Architecture & IT/OT Convergence
- Implement and enforce comprehensive cybersecurity measures across both IT and OT environments, identifying and mitigating risks effectively
- Lead physical security system deployments (Ubiquiti, Hikvision, Axis) while establishing standards
- Manage and maintain 2‑way radio communication systems to ensure reliable emergency and operational communications
