Salary Range: $18.00 To $24.00 Annually

Set up, operating, and monitoring Laser cutting machine ensuring quality parts are produced per the production orders and engineering specifications. Performs necessary quality checks, records information and performs general utility work to meet work schedule.

• Understands machine set-up, including program retrieval, proper gases, proper nozzles, and materials.
• Understands start-up and shut down for laser machines.
• Diagnose machining problems while performing jobs, making modifications as needed.
• Operate tape measure, calipers, and hand tools.
• Can perform laser cutting operations efficiently and effectively, per specifications.
• Check quality of product machined and notify the supervisor of process issues.
• Operate and navigate in a Windows-based computer environment.
• Can program nesting software to maximize product/material usage.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Perform operator maintenance and/or housekeeping per established schedules.
• Other duties as assigned, including operation of other machines, sort, rework, de-nest, assembly, weld, or processing of other parts as a manufacturing team member. Refer to the Manufacturing Team Member Job Description.

• Dependable
• 1-3 years CNC experience in a production manufacturing environment
• Ability to use basic math to analyze information and measuring equipment
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work safely and efficiently
• Ability to work with close tolerances
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instruction and written processes
• Additional courses in CNC Laser set-up and operation
