Essential Functions
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety and Quality Assurance policies.
  • Report injuries, accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions to a Supervisor or Manager immediately.
  • Ensure that work areas are maintained in a neat and orderly manner at all times.
  • Loads and unloads materials, parts, or products manually or by mechanized means.
  • Move raw materials about the plant and warehouse by hand or using forklifts or other equipment.
  • Delivers production items to designated work areas for processing.
  • Sort cargo before loading and unloading; attach identifying tags to cargo or mark with identifying information.
  • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
  • Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
  • Direct and position receptacles, such as bins, carts, or containers; attach devices to lift cargo and guide loads
  • Understand and maintain traceability for all materials.
  • Participate in annual cycle counting.
  • Utilize MRP system to process receipt of materials.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Experience
  • 0-5 years of related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment
  • Fasteners industry experience preferred
  • Side loader and forklift experience preferred
Skills And Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED);
    Associate’s degree preferred
  • Able to read, understand, interpret and follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing specifications
  • Ability to adjust to changes without compromising Quality or Performance
  • Must be able to work a shift schedule and overtime as needed, including weekends
  • Self‑motivated, team‑player.
  • Attention to detail
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Must be able to stand for the duration of scheduled shift
  • Safely operate and unload using large forklift and side loaders. Experience a PLUS.
  • Ability to manually load or unload materials, mainly bar stock, onto or off of bins, bar racks, or pallets, weighing 25-150 lbs
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close, Distance, Peripheral, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus
  • Manual dexterity using hands, fingers, and arms to push, pull, reach, grab, hold, lift, and hammer
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Manufacturing warehouse environment with multi step process production runs on different machines. High value highly customized components, long and large parts, and high precision manufacturing for critical service applications
  • Noise Level: Moderate to High
