What role you will play in our team

The Integrated Communications Lead will develop and execute internal and external communications strategies for Centralized Organizations to enhance the company’s brand, reputation, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic communications direction to Exxon Mobil Centralized Organizations, ensuring integration across communications and consistent articulation to stakeholders.
  • Align communications activities with overall corporate strategic goals.
  • Develop briefing documents, gain alignment on key messages, and inform colleagues to ensure broad understanding and coordination of communications strategies.
  • Align messaging with organizational vision, mission, and values to foster a unified culture across all regions.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, crafting compelling narratives for organizational updates, change initiatives, and leadership visibility.
  • Prepare speeches, talking points, and executive messaging for internal forums such as town halls and global meetings.
  • Develop and produce high‑quality content for internal and external digital channels.
  • Craft compelling narratives that showcase the impact of our Centralized Organizations.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 12 to 15 years of experience in communications, with a proven history of representing complex, expansive organizations.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and decision‑making skills in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated executive presence with the ability to confidently engage, influence, and present to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Experience in change management, culture‑building, and executive communications.
  • Skilled in interpreting technical subjects and conveying them in an accessible manner to a diverse audience.
  • Influential communicator, capable of persuading and guiding without direct authority.
  • Outstanding project management abilities, with the flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset, cultural sensitivity, and familiarity with the dynamics of a vast, global enterprise.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Self‑starter with a passion for storytelling, internal and external communications; thrives in a collaborative environment and adept at managing multiple projects.
  • Strong storytelling and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and reviews simultaneously.

  • Strategic thinking and planning capabilities.
  • Analytical skills to measure content impact and effectiveness.
