Job Title
RN - Trauma Med‑Surg, FT Nights – Memorial Hermann Health System
Job SummaryMemorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center is a 447‑bed facility with a 36‑bed trauma‑med/surg unit. The nurse‑to‑patient ratio is 1:4‑5. This position focuses on trauma patient care and may also support regular med/surg patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to trauma patients, including assessments, patient education, and documentation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient care and coordinate treatment plans.
- Develop and implement discharge and transfer plans while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in program evaluation, process improvement, and data‑driven quality initiatives.
- Maintain professional growth through mandatory education and competency training; may serve as preceptor or mentor.
- Perform other duties as assigned and support unit operations.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; RN designation preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of acute‑care hospital nursing experience.
- Texas State RN license (or temporary/compact license) and Basic Life Support certification.
