Seasonal Retail Sales Associate – New Store Opening

Temporary position assisting with the setup, stocking, and opening of our new store.

Compensation is $15.25 per hour (may vary by location, skills, and experience). Associates accrue up to 64 hours paid sick time per year and 16 hours paid holiday time. Working hours are from 6 am to 10 pm.

Seasonal associates will load and unload trucks, stock merchandise, greet customers, and work as a team to ensure a timely opening of the new store. On‑time attendance is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Stocking merchandise
• Inventory management
• Loading and unloading trucks

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Open availability: morning, afternoon, and evening any day of the week; regular attendance essential.
• Physical ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and stand/move for the entire shift.
• Ability to bend, kneel, climb, crawl, twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder to perform job duties.
• No operation of vehicle equipment (including forklifts) unless certified by Harbor Freight Tools.

Job Qualifications – Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction).
• Experience working in a retail environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, sit for extended periods.
• Speak and listen to others in person and over the phone.
• Use keyboard and read from computer screen and reports.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
