Retail Sales Associate

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates for First Cash pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and assists customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, working with a wide variety of merchandise including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. The role offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Completes required training successfully.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, walking, bending, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers in exterior areas or retrieve products stored in exterior storage buildings.
• Minimum age: 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Cash-handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission, based on the gross profit of their personal performance. More details will be provided during the interview process.

Pay will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements.
