As a Customer Service Representative, you will maintain a well-stocked and well‑maintained department while delivering superior customer service. You will rotate products daily, uphold safety and sanitation standards, and, once eligible, become an owner in the company. We are looking for commitment, hard work, and a focus on quality and customer service.

• Stocks and rotates items as needed
• Assists with inventory control; loads, unloads, and moves product
• Organizes, cleans, and prepares back area for the night crew and incoming trucks
• Organizes merchandise on pallets to present the department to the public
• Ensures integrity of shelf tags and signage; may create/prepare signage as needed
• Maintains standards in shrink, safety, inventory control, and sanitation
• Checks shipments for out‑of‑date and damaged product to ensure freshness and quality
• Builds, stocks, maintains, and takes down store displays
• Performs the duties of Customer Service Assistant as needed

• Provides superior customer service
• Answers customer questions regarding products and assists them with selections; helps customers locate store merchandise

• Merchandises product effectively
• Uses suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales

• Cleans and sanitizes sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment
• Properly handles and maintains the operation of all equipment
• Complies with departmental SOPs and store operating procedures

• Beauty: Knowledge of beauty and cosmetic aids
• Drugstore / General Merchandise: Prepares tags and signs as needed
• Grocery: Organizes, cleans, and prepares back area; prepares tags and signs as needed
• Texas Backyard: Passion for outdoors; ability to complete Green Thumb training (H-E-B internal training)
• Entertainment: Knowledge in the audio/video field; knowledge of specialty products, movies, music, electronics, and video games

• Minimum age 18 (mandatory)
• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Completion of Company Orientation and Safety Training (upon hire)

• Ability to function in a fast‑paced, retail environment with detailed tasks
• Can work with customers, staying attentive to their needs

• Must be able to lift specified weights per department (see institutional lists for Beauty, Drugstore, Grocery, Texas Backyard, Healthy Living)
• Demonstrates reach and movement skills required for each department (standard reach, lift, and environmental exposures)
