FitIn The Organization
Business Development Representatives are the hunters of net new opportunities for the company. BDRs fill the pipeline for Inside/Field sales reps by setting qualified meetings. Once a meeting has been scheduled, it routes to the HPE sales rep and channel reseller. The BDR role is to increase sales through cold/warm calling prospects to create continuous opportunities for HPE by educating potential customers on the HPE portfolio.
It is highly task‑oriented with strong sample KPI guidance.
- Enable sales opportunities by cold‑calling and warm‑calling prospects.
- Schedule and set qualified meetings with potential customers.
- Educate prospects on the HPE portfolio across data, connectivity, cloud, and security.
- Maintain a consistent pipeline for Inside and Field sales teams.
- Route meetings to appropriate sales representatives and channel resellers.
- Achieve target metrics such as Calls per Day, Emails per Day, and Opportunities Created/Qualified.
The Role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills over the phone.
- Ability to conceptualize and convey complex technical concepts simply.
- Understanding of how HPE engages with the channel to build pipeline within acquisition target accounts.
