Primary Purpose
At ChemPoint, we focus on account management and retention of our valued customer base. This essential function is handled by a Sales Manager who is an integral part of a multi-disciplinary sales team. The Sales Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic plans to retain and grow global sales through leading and supporting a global sales team. This includes managing all aspects of the employee life cycle for Account Executives and Industry Representatives.
The role defines and refines ChemPoint sales processes and sales roles, sets sales territories, and defines resource needs in collaboration with other Sales Managers to best meet and exceed supplier, customer, and internal expectations.
- Set sales territories, define resource needs, and collaborate with internal and external resources to fill those needs.
- Establish annual and quarterly sales and sales pipeline targets for respective industry that successfully integrate with overall business team or company strategies.
- Participate in customer interactions to assist the sales team in retaining business and attaining new business.
- Set quarterly performance expectations and coach, train and align employee performance in all global interaction centers to attain product line objectives and targets.
- Participate actively in Recruiting and Employee Life Cycle Management planning to address key talent opportunities and risks.
- Provide training to help develop sales skills and abilities within your team.
- Define and refine ChemPoint sales processes and sales roles in collaboration with other Sales Managers to best meet and exceed supplier, customer, and internal expectations.
- 4 year degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or other related discipline.
- Experience in business to business sales organization or 5+ years equivalent technical sales experience.
- Experience with customer and territory management.
- Sales and/or leadership experience with strong desire to develop professional career.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong telephone skills, active listening skills, consultative selling skills, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills is required. CRM and/or other database experience highly desired.
- Proactive, positive team player who is adaptable, flexible, and willing to take on new challenges and risks on a continual basis.
- Goal-oriented with entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership skills, and decision-making abilities.
This is a hybrid role in The Woodlands, TX.
Pay and Benefits- The salary range for this position is $112,790 – $130,000 annually.
