We seek a Regional Business Manager (RBM) to lead the division’s revenue, market share, and profit growth for a regional territory for Firestone Business Products. The RBM develops and implements strategic sales plans, goals, and incentives to foster a strong sales force, which may include independent representatives or Territory Sales Manager(s) within specified regions.
The RBM collaborates with the National Business Manager, the Vice President of Sales, and other Firestone personnel to achieve annual revenue, square foot, and contribution margin goals. The RBM coordinates with Independent Sales Reps and Territory Sales Manager(s) to execute company initiatives and assesses local sales channels by monitoring contractors, services, pricing, competitors, and market positioning. The RBM provides sales call assistance when needed and helps draft and implement a business development plan for each territory.
The RBM ensures that independent Sales Reps and Territory Sales Manager(s) have resources, data, support, and training to succeed. The RBM participates in management meetings and regional sales meetings and actively participates in the closure of large jobs and conversion of large customers to Firestone Building Products.
- RBM is responsible for developing regional business plans that drive share growth across all target markets and product categories
- Understand HBE strategic direction and execute regional activities aligned with this strategy
- Collaborate with National Business Manager, Product Management, Technical Services, Marketing, Operations, Independent Sales Reps, Territory Sales Manager(s), and Customer Service to drive share growth
- Formulate a Regional Sales Plan with short- and long-term goals for each target market and key customer, pursuing current opportunities and incremental market share to achieve/exceed revenue, square foot, and contribution margin goals
- Create an accurate regional forecast for key accounts and provide insights on customer and market performance
- Manage Sales Reps and Territory Sales Managers to drive compliance and performance across product categories
- Monitor and communicate business trends, distribution patterns, consumer and trade attitudes, competitive practices, and product performance to senior leadership
- Foster accountability, embrace change, and lead by example
- Participate in sales meetings, customer events, trade shows and group exhibitor meetings as required
- Actively participate in closing large projects and converting strategic customers
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 8 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in the commercial roofing industry
- At least 5 years of management or leadership experience
