As a Security Officer - Flex Armed Patrol in Spring, TX
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls. As a Flex Part‑Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Patrol Armed Officer in a retail environment, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the location, remain visible to help deter incidents, interact with customers and staff, respond to incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service while upholding our core values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

- Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures and following site‑specific policies while on duty.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem‑solving manner, including emergency response activities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high‑traffic areas to deter theft, vandalism, or other unwanted behavior.
- Work closely with store staff and management to address security‑related concerns and support a secure environment for employees and customers.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
- Remain alert to potential hazards or suspicious situations and report them promptly to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to all company and client policies, as well as state regulations, especially those related to carrying and handling firearms.
- Active armed guard card or license is required.
- A minimum of six months of experience in armed security‑related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
- A minimum of five years of security‑related experience.
- Valid driver’s license required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Level III armed certification required for positions in Texas.
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participation in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
