Maintenance Technician

Overview

Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical). Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield. Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance). Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems. Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures. Production equipment includes CNC lathes, draw benches, mechanical presses, ovens, cranes, and chemical lines.

Facilities maintenance will also be required.

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (mechanical, electrical).
• Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield.
• Perform equipment failure analyses, including preventive and unscheduled maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems.
• Prepare technical reports documenting equipment modifications and maintenance procedures.
• Support production equipment such as CNC lathes, draw benches, mechanical presses, ovens, cranes, and chemical lines; assist with facilities maintenance as required.

• Education and experience:
  
  Attending a vocational/technical school or internal training program OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience or skillset; no prior experience required.
• Preferred education and experience:
  Vocational/Technical Training Degree.
• Discipline/Major:
  Technical training preferred.
• Knowledge, skills & abilities:
  Ability to work as part of a team; problem-solving skills; technical expertise; automation; calibration; equipment maintenance; failure analysis; manufacturing support; mechanical troubleshooting; numerical control; production support; refurbishment;
  Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
