We’re looking for an experienced Lead Construction Technician to join our team in Springdale, AR
. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with proven experience in petroleum system installations, crew management, and job site coordination. If you take pride in quality workmanship, thrive under deadlines, and are ready to grow with an industry leader, this is your opportunity.
The pay range is $28/hr-$33/hr depending on experience and includes benefits.
Your Mission
- Lead and supervise crews on petroleum construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to specification.
- Interpret and work from site plans, blueprints, and specifications, verifying measurements and layouts.
- Determine and verify grade elevations to ensure proper system installation.
- Install petroleum storage and dispensing systems, including tanks, piping, and related equipment.
- Coordinate with the General Contractor (GC), inspectors, and project managers to meet target deadlines and resolve issues quickly.
- Ensure full compliance with AST/UST installation standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Oversee daily site operations, including equipment use, material handling, and job site organization.
- Conduct and lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and crew training to maintain a culture of safety.
- Troubleshoot installation issues and provide hands-on technical support as needed. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, site conditions, and project progress.
What You Bring to the Table
- AST License (Above ground Storage Tank) – required.
- 3+ years of direct experience installing petroleum systems (tanks, piping, dispensers, controls).
- Ability to read and interpret site plans/blueprints and apply them in the field. Strong knowledge of grading and elevation verification methods.
- Previous experience leading crews on active construction sites.
- Effective communication skills for working with GCs, subcontractors, inspectors, and internal teams.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- OSHA 10/30, HAZWOPER, or other safety certifications (preferred).
- Ability to travel to job sites and work in outdoor environments year-round.
Before You Leap
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug-screening and background check.
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record over the past 5 years required.
- IMPORTANT:
For positions classified as safety-sensitive, applicants are required to pass a comprehensive drug screening, which includes testing for marijuana, as a condition of employment.
