Overview

Safely operates a heavy‑duty truck to perform assigned duties on transfer routes. This role focuses on ensuring safe vehicle operation, route efficiency, and customer service excellence.

• Operate vehicle in accordance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR).
• Report unsafe conditions or service calls to Operations Manager or Dispatch promptly.
• Participate in scheduled training, briefings, and meetings.
• Collaborate with managers to improve route efficiency and address problematic accounts.
• Assist other company drivers as directed.
• Notify managers of incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Communicate customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Managers.
• Completely dump containers, leaving the customer location clean and debris free.
• Submit customer tickets when excess yardage must be removed.
• Position containers on the customer’s property, ensuring lids are properly replaced and containers are set upright without blocking driveway entrances or traffic.
• Follow route assignments throughout the day and complete all documentation upon route completion.

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B required; applicant must be 18 years of age.
• No prior work experience required; education not required.
• Successfully complete pre‑employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check, including motor vehicle record review.
• Acceptable driving record required.
