This position is considered a field position and will not be required to report into a physical office on a daily basis but based on operational need.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Provides consultation and advice to organizations about workplace safety: evaluates organizations' safety and health management systems and cultures by gathering data and analyzing and interpreting data to determine if improvements are necessary.
  • Creates technical reports (e.g., hazard analysis and safety program assessment and development) and documents routine work activities.
  • Knowledge of new regulations and consensus standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, OAC, NIOSH, ANSI, ACGIH), safety equipment, processes, best practices, and current developments in the profession by attending seminars, reading technical reports, manuals, and professional journals.
  • Promotes partnerships among employers, BWC Safety Council, BWC's Safety Congress, Group Sponsors, Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) to ensure organizations have access to all resources necessary to develop and maintain safe and healthful workplaces.
  • Recommends and assists an organization's management in developing, implementing and evaluating changes to an organization's workplace safety and health processes.
  • Conducts workplace safety training.

To Qualify, You Must Clearly Demonstrate
  • 36 months training or 36 months experience commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved position description on file relative to conducting industrial &/or construction safety surveys, operating related testing equipment & providing technical advice to resolve industrial safety hazards & violations of state & federal regulations AND valid driver's license.
  • OR completion of undergraduate core program in physical sciences (e.g., physics, chemistry) or engineering AND valid driver's license.
  • OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
