Customer Service Rep, Retail Associate/ Customer Service
Position Summary
As a Cake Decorator you will drive member service in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
What you’ll doBe a Team Member: Collaborates with cross‑functional teams, helps educate others on tools, tasks and resources, communicates and develops interpersonal skills for providing customer service, remains flexible to the needs of the business, maintains in‑stock levels and controls shrinkage.
Be an Expert: Plans bakery production ensuring consistency and accuracy in decorative designs, follows recipe measurement instructions, works with a variety of products (decorating bags, tips, nozzles), creates decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items, adheres to food‑safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold‑chain compliance and inventory management, operates, maintains and sanitizes equipment while demonstrating understanding of product and layout execution.
Be a Techie: Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement, uses hand‑held technology for immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training and product quality with the member in mind, adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them.
Be an Owner: Drives bakery area performance, ensures quality and date‑control standards, eliminates waste, prepares for seasonal events impacting volume (holidays, graduations, family events), identifies member needs, assists members with purchasing decisions and resolves member issues and concerns.
Be a Talent Ambassador: Acts as a brand advocate by valuing the member experience, models high‑quality service and products, interacts with associates to understand roadblocks and assists in training, influencing and inspiring them toward a respectful, supportive, and team‑oriented style.
Compliance: Follows company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity, implements related action plans using the Open Door Policy, and applies these in executing business processes and practices.
Priority Management: Completes assignments and priorities by using policies, data and resources, collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers and other partners, identifies priorities, deadlines and expectations, carries out tasks, communicates progress and recommends improvement opportunities, adapts to and learns from change and feedback.
