Liberty Tax is hiring a seasonal Tax Preparer to prepare accurate tax returns for individuals and small businesses, provide exceptional customer service, and stay current with tax regulations.

• Prepare individual and small business tax returns accurately and efficiently.
• Review financial records to determine required forms.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Provide outstanding customer service addressing client concerns.
• Conduct client interviews to gather information.
• Explain tax return outcomes and provide tax planning advice.
• Stay updated on current tax laws through ongoing education.
• Verify accuracy of data entered into tax software.
• Maintain organized and accurate records and file required documents.

• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Superior communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Must have PTIN or eligible to receive.

• Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation.

Position requires working at a desk for periods of time; some overtime and weekend work may be required, especially during tax season.
