Responsibilities
  • Manage field operations and contract administration, including safety, personnel, subcontract scheduling, material and equipment procurement and schedule.
  • Plan safety critical activities for all planning and field operations.
  • Identify potential change orders, scope changes and field condition changes from a contract management standpoint.
  • Create and manage budgets.
  • Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships, identifying and mitigating potential risk exposure and cost overrun exposure.
  • Plan applicable equipment types, personnel skill sets, means, methods and update schedule.
  • Maintain accurate cost accounting, schedule impacts, change order logs and communication logs.
  • Submit monthly cost to complete projections.
  • Manage contract value affected by weather, changed conditions, authorized change orders, pending change orders and accurate quantities completed.
  • Weekly quantities completed accurately reported and compiled in Viewpoint.
  • Accurately update budget changes on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure all change orders are agreed, signed, and reconciled every 30 days upstream to the customer and downstream to vendors and subcontractors.
  • Update change order log to verify current contract amount.
  • Track purchase order committed costs accurately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • 10+ years of Project Management in heavy civil and bridge construction.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to find solutions from problems, and a team approach to management.
  • OSHA 30 Hour certification.
