Position OverviewHSHS St. John’s Hospital, a Level II pediatric trauma center, is seeking a Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join their team. The hospital is a teaching facility affiliated with Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and offers advanced surgical services.
Responsibilities- Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department
- Manage anesthesia for various procedures including pediatrics, ortho, cardiac, OB, and more
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and obtain patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients
- Monitor physiological conditions and perform interventions as needed
- M.D./D.O. from an accredited institution
- Board certification in anesthesiology
- License to practice medicine in Illinois
- Completion of an approved anesthesia residency
- Salary up to $600,000 plus pediatric stipend and sign-on bonus
