Job Summary

Do you have experience teaching young children? Come join LLCC’s nationally accredited Child Development Center! This position will perform duties necessary to support the teaching and learning efforts of the center, including assisting teachers with implementing daily activities. Full‑time (40 hours per week).

Work schedule:

7:30 am–5:30 pm, Monday‑Friday. Remote work is not available.

Salary

Starting salary range is $37,703 – $43,012 per year ($18.13–$20.68 per hour) based on education, training, experience and skills.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of college (30 semester hours) with at least 12 semester hours in courses related directly to Child Care or Child Development.
  • One year of previous experience in a child‑care setting.
  • Must have or be able to attain an ECE Credential Level II or higher.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to obtain a Food Service Sanitation Certificate.
  • Current physical and TB test and a current record of immunizations, including 1 dose of Tdap and 2 doses of MMR vaccine or evidence of immunity to MMR.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Child Development/Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
  • ECE Credential Level IV and paraprofessional licensure.
Physical Requirements
  • Carry up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Walk up to 1 mile.
  • Grip, hold and pinch small objects.
  • Dexterity to reach, bend, squat, stoop and kneel on a regular basis.
  • Frequent climbing (e.g., ladders, stairs).
