Overview

Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC) seeks a dedicated Student Success Advisor to build supportive relationships with students and help them achieve their educational goals by teaching them decision‑making skills and providing personalized guidance.

Employment Details
  • Position:
    Full Time
  • Hours:

    40 per week (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
  • Work schedule:

    12 months per year
  • Remote work:
    No
  • Pay range: $51,911 – $60,250 annually
  • Required:

    Availability through evening and weekend hours when necessary (at least one night per week after 6 PM); occasional early mornings or late afternoons during peak periods
Responsibilities

As the Student Success Advisor, you will:

  • Develop and maintain supportive relationships with students across campus.
  • Assist students in setting realistic educational goals and developing action plans.
  • Provide guidance on academic resources, financial aid, time management, and career pathways.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external partners to address students’ needs.
  • Track student progress and recommend interventions when necessary.
  • Contribute to program evaluation and continuous improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or extensive relevant work experience, or an appropriate combination of education and experience.
  • One year of experience in an educational setting.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Detail oriented, capable of multi‑tasking, and good time‑management skills.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and Microsoft Office.
  • Open to working evenings and weekend hours as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel, or a related field.
  • Experience working within a community college environment.
