Description Totus Tuus Team members in 2027 will:

Spend their days playing, praying, and sharing the faith with children in 1st-6th grade.
Spend their evenings playing, praying, and sharing the faith with pre-teen and teens in 7th-12th grade.
Be responsible for preparing and implementing lessons for various age groups.
Be responsible for preparing and implementing skits, games, and activities for various age groups.
Be expected to be kind, fair, gentle, and loving to all the children and teens.
Be expected to lead and teach in way that fosters fun, loving, and respectful relationships with the children and teens, while also maintaining appropriate boundaries and eliciting appropriate, respectful behavior.
Spend a significant amount of time living and working in close quarters with three other team members.
Will be placed on a team by the Totus Tuus Director.
Be expected to use mature problem solving and communication skills to approach difficulties and struggles on the team, or in individual relationships.
Receive support and training in this area from the Totus Tuus Director and others as assigned.
Have many opportunities to give of him/herself by placing his/her personal needs and desires second to those of the other missionaries and the youth. Spend time in prayer with and for the team, the youth, and the host families.

Requirements Totus Tuus Team members in 2027 will:

Commit to a period of training, tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, June 2
-Saturday, June 12th n's Catholic Newman Center, Champaign, IL.
Travel to different parts of the diocese and live with host families each week, for five weeks (June 12-July 3, July 10-23)
Potentially attend a whole team gathering June 25-26 for ongoing formation.
Have a break July 3-July 9.
Potentially train and assist with Called and Sent Diocesan Youth Retreat July 18-22.
Attend a closing retreat July 23-24
Give of themselves in a rigorous but rewarding schedule, including daily times of prayer, daytime grade school-age programs, and nighttime teen programs.
Receive a stipend of $3500.00 paid in installments throughout the term of missionary service.
